1. Carton positioning at a conveyor stop
A conveyor stop holds a carton while downstream equipment completes its operation. The sensor observes the carton surface within the 50–900 mm setting range and uses TOF sensing to distinguish the occupied stop from the more distant background. Two-point teaching establishes the operating setting, and the NPN output reports the condition after the documented 100 ms maximum switching interval.
Problem Solved
Provides a distance-based occupied-stop signal, allowing the conveyor sequence to release or retain the waiting carton without a mechanical switch contacting its surface.

2. Component seating in an assembly fixture
An assembly fixture presents a component at a repeatable working position before a process step. The sensor faces a suitable component surface and distinguishes its distance from that of the empty fixture. Two-point teaching supports setting the detection point, while the fixed Dark-ON output provides the defined switching logic for a compatible machine input during the fixture dwell.
Problem Solved
Separates the loaded component position from the empty fixture by distance, supplying a noncontact seating condition that the machine can use before starting its assembly operation.

3. Stack height threshold monitoring
A stacking station builds a pile of flat opaque products beneath an overhead sensing position. As the stack grows, its top surface moves toward the sensor and crosses the taught distance threshold. The 50–900 mm setting range supports positioning above the stack, and the NPN switching output supplies a threshold condition after the stack has settled for the required response interval.
Problem Solved
Converts a changing stack-to-sensor distance into a discrete height-threshold signal, helping the transfer sequence request stack removal or stop adding material at the selected level.
